Daily Dose of Happiness / Barrierefreiheit
Barrierefreiheit
So nutzen Sie unser Angebot

We want Daily Dose of Happiness to work well for as many people as possible, regardless of age, eyesight, motor skills or how someone takes in information. This page explains how our service works, how far we have come with accessibility and where gaps remain.
It applies to the website daily-dose-of-happiness.de and to the Daily Dose of Happiness app for iOS and Android.
Voluntary information
Lioverse UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is a microenterprise as defined by the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG). The requirements of the BFSG do not apply to services provided by microenterprises. We still publish this information voluntarily. Its content follows Annex 3 of the BFSG.
Our service
Daily Dose of Happiness is an app for more wellbeing in everyday life. It offers short mood check-ins, small prompts, gratitude and reflection features, reminders and a personal garden that grows with good moments. Pina, our animated character, keeps you company along the way.
Many features are free. Additional features such as Futuremail and Hidden Happiness are available as Early Access Premium. Premium is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. Premium can also be given as a gift. The recipient then redeems a gift code in the app.
The website provides information about the app. It also contains frequently asked questions, a contact form and our legal information. Nothing is sold on the website itself.
How to use our service
- Get the app: The app is free on the Apple App Store and Google Play. You will find the links on every page of this website.
- With or without an account: Many features work without an account. Premium and some other features require one. You can sign in by email, with Sign in with Apple or with Google.
- Buy Premium: Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. Payment and confirmation take place in the purchase dialogs of Apple or Google, which support your device's accessibility features.
- Redeem a gift: Anyone who receives Premium as a gift gets a link with a gift code. The code can be copied on the gift page and redeemed in the app.
- Help: You will find answers to common questions in the FAQ. For anything else, reach us via the contact form or by email.
Accessibility status
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA and the European standard EN 301 549 as our benchmark. Our service is currently partially accessible. This assessment is based on a self-evaluation.
On the website we have already implemented the following:
- With the "Adjust display" button next to the language switch you can set the text size up to 150 % and turn on high contrast. You can also stop animations, highlight links, increase text spacing and replace decorative fonts with a plain typeface.
- Text scales with your browser settings. Pages can be zoomed to 200 %.
- If your device is set to "Reduce motion" or "Increase contrast", we apply this automatically.
- Images have alternative text or are marked as decorative.
- The language of every page is marked up, including when you switch between German and English.
Known limitations
On the website:
- Not every page offers a link to skip the navigation, and the main content is not marked up as such everywhere.
- Some interactive elements on the home page, such as the mood selection and the garden, have not yet been fully tested with keyboard and screen reader.
- Some text in muted colours does not yet reach the recommended contrast ratio everywhere unless "High contrast" is turned on.
- Some of the animated characters do not yet have a text description.
- The visible focus outline for keyboard users is not yet clear enough on every page.
In the app:
- We are currently testing the app systematically with VoiceOver, TalkBack and large system text. Until then, some screens may only be partly usable with these tools.
- Payment and refunds are handled by Apple and Google. We have no influence on the accessibility of these processes.
We are working through these points step by step and will update this page whenever something changes.
Report a barrier
Have you come across a barrier, or do you need content in a different format? Please write to us. It helps if you briefly describe on which page or screen the problem occurs and which device or assistive technology you use.
